The General Assembly's Standing Committee of Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to review the 2014 and deploy plans for 2015.

As reported at the conference, in 2014, the General Assembly has numerous activities that achieve great results in many aspects. Regarding foreign activities, the General Assembly in collaboration with the Korea Rural Development Corporation; Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; General Department of Water Resources; Institute of water irrigation and environment; Software Research Center (of Institute of Water Resources) and 5 provincial Department of Agriculture, the complete project management, monitoring water and dam safety. The General Assembly has established working groups to go abroad to seek for cooperation building programs, projects and expansion relations of the General Assembly with foreign individuals and organizations. Typical is signing the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the General Assembly and the Institute of Post Harvest Technology of Korea and Rural Development Corporation of South Korea about constructing The Trade Center Complex. Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)  of recycling cashew  with Korea Young Woo Ertech Co and establish relationship with the L'eau Pure Internation Nale (France) and organized hydropower resettlement visit in France, Spain, Portugal. Currently, the General Assembly is continuing to expand international partnerships with corporations, businesses, organizations abroad.

Regarding financial management is tight, exactly on purposes, saving in accordance with the regulation of internal monthly spending of General Assembly, the accounting work is performed in accordance with accounting regulations administrative career by Ministry of Finance issued. Regarding the organization management, the staff of the General Assembly continued improve to help the operation of the General Assembly is growing both in width and depth. Process of admitting new members are focused towards sustainable development. In particular, the General Assembly established the Founding Board to form Nông Thôn Việt (NTV) Media Joint Stock company and the company went into operation since 6/2014. NTV Media office is also the representative Office of the General Assembly in the South which performed well on some tasks assigned by the General Assembly, such as welcoming the General Assembly guests and discussed the possibility of the cooperation, enhancing the role of the General Assembly in the South of Vietnam; perform administrative tasks website http: tonghoinn.vn. The company spend their own fund to redesign the website, remake new interface, frequently bring new information to the site, and write open letters to the members of the General Assembly for information links, increasing connections between members. During the pending period for the official permit to establish the online newspaper Nông Thôn Việt, the company has launched the online information website in early May 10-2014. Updating daily news, with content primarily in the fields of agriculture, rural areas and farmers, with the number of readers increased by an average of 15% / month.

In addition, in 2014, the General Assembly has also developed and issued many legal documents as a basis to put activities of the General Assembly in formal direction, including working regulations of the General Assembly, the regulation of internal revenue and expenditure management ... General Assembly in collaboration with the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting to sign the Resolution Joint between President of General Assembly and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate and implement common task – building up new rural area.

The members of the Standing Committee of the General Assembly agreed on guidelines to establish the charity fund called "Funds of Support Building New Rural Area Border and Islands" and assigned to the preparatory department prepares the specific content to the Standing Committee decided to give the Fund launched in 2015.
